Single Highest Graded 1st Deadman in ComicLink Featured Auction
ComicLink has added the single highest graded first appearance of Deadman to the Spring Featured Auction that starts on May 16, 2025. This Strange Adventures #205 CGC 9.8 from 1967 is from the Northland Pedigree and features near newsstand fresh off-white to white pages.
“Deadman was a breakthrough concept for DC Comics during the late Silver Age as it began a more sophisticated approach to superheroes for the leading publisher,” ComicLink founder and Managing Director Josh Nathanson said. “A young Neal Adams took over the artwork with the second issue after Carmine Infantino drew this first appearance. Adams’ style, a form of enhanced photorealism, was revolutionary and made Deadman an instant classic among more mature fans who would accelerate comic book fandom to become the driving force behind the industry. We are excited to be offering this ‘unicorn’ single highest graded CGC 9.8 example of this landmark and highly collectible comic book.”
ComicLink is still accepting seller consignments for the Spring Featured Auction and the next Focused Auction that begins on June 6. Upfront cash advances are available upon receipt of seller material. Sellers interested in consigning can contact ComicLink at buysell@comiclink.com or (617) 517-0062 (option 1) to speak with one of the firm’s consignment consultants. The firm is seeking comic books, original art, and other certified and authenticated collectibles to auction in conjunction with their partner firm, CertifiedLink.com including sports and non-sports trading cards, coins, video games, action figures, VHS tapes, sports memorabilia, and more.
