The comics industry news site ICv2.com reports the new editions of Frank
Miller’s Sin City graphic novels are selling briskly in advance of
today’s opening of the film co-directed by Miller and Robert Rodriguez (Spy
Kids
, From Dusk Till Dawn).

“The graphic novels have
been selling well in both comic stores and bookstores for weeks,” the site
reported, “but they are now lined up at the top of the bookstore chart,
with Volumes 1, 2, and 3 in slots #1, #2, and #3 in order (volume 4 has the #5
slot).”

Published by Dark Horse Comics, the first five of seven
volumes are presently available in the new, manga-esque format.
