polar opposite of the crazed, maniacal visage of the notorious Green
Goblin.
New from Diamond Select Toys (DST), these 1:4 scale busts of the
virtuous Captain America and villainous Green Goblin are based on life-size
busts produced by Dynamic Forces in 2003. Modeled on the original designs of
fan-favorite artist Alex Ross and sculpted by Mike Hill, these scaled-down
versions of Cap and the Goblin are offered in a limited edition of only 5,000
each.
Known for his photorealistic art, Ross created a total of 8
life-size Marvel character busts for DF. In addition to Captain America and the
Green Goblin, DST has previously released 1:4 scale versions of the Ross/DF
Spider-Man and Hulk busts, and plans to replicate the entire series. Iron Man
and Doctor Doom have already been solicited for release later this year, with
the Thing and Wolverine pending but not yet scheduled.
