A copy of Showcase #22 CGC-certified 6.0 realized $3,250 on eBay after 38 bids. Published in October 1959, the Silver Age DC comic displays off-white to white pages. Written by John Broome with cover art by Gil Kane, it features the origin and first appearance of the Silver Age Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, along with the first appearance of Abin Sur and Carol Ferris.

Hal Jordan is the most well known Green Lantern. Created by John Broome and Gil Kane, he was revamped for the Silver Age along with other Golden Age DC characters. The new Green Lantern was a member of the intergalactic group made from different alien species who were given devices that enhanced their mental and/or physical abilities.
