Senator Arthurhultz’s Lunchbox Collection at Hake’s
and the Majority Floor Leader, has been an avid collector for years. He started
by buying a few jukeboxes, pinball machines and a coke machine. His next step
was into character merchandise from the fifties. From there it was a single Roy
Rogers lunchbox that started a collection which became one of the nation’s
best, both in terms of rarity, size and condition.
The Senator’s
collection is so vast that Hake’s has had to spread the listings across several
auctions. “This is one of the best kept collections we have ever seen. The
Disney Boxes are great looking” says Alex Winter, the General Manager of Hake’s
Americana. “The Senator even has a lunchbox for as obscure a show as the Sid and
Marty Krofft 1975 series, Land of the Lost. This is truly an amazing
collection.”
Each box with comes with a certificate signed by the Senator
and Ted Hake. The Senator also had an impressive collection of advertising.
Details on both the lunchboxes and the advertising lots are available at http://www.hakes.com/default.asp.
The auction will close on March 28, 29 and 30, 2006.
