A Golden Age Scarecrow appearance and lower grade copy of Spider-Man’s introduction are part of Heritage’s Sunday & Monday Comics, Animation, & Art Weekly Online Auction. Comics in the auction close on Sunday, July 19 and everything else ends on Monday, July 20, 2020.

The Scarecrow sees his only Golden Age cover appearance on Detective Comics #73 CGC 2.5, which features Batman and Robin fighting the supervillain who claims to be the Master of Fear. The cover and art were provided by Bob Kane, Jerry Robinson, and George Roussos, and the issue also contains a Boy Commandos backup feature with art by Jack Kirby and Joe Simon.

Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 3.0 is one of the most popular and most important comic books anywhere, and maintains the top spot in Overstreet’s list of the Top 50 Silver Age Comics. It houses the origin and first appearance of Spider-Man, as well as the debut appearances of Uncle Ben and Aunt May. The cover and art are from the iconic tandem of Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko.

This week’s auction is filled with 944 lots of comics, original art, and memorabilia. Bidding opens at 6 PM CT on ha.com.
