When Bruce Wayne first donned his now-iconic Batman garb to fight crime in Gotham City, the idea of working with a partner was the furthest thing from his mind. But fate took a hand, and Bruce found himself with guardianship of the newly orphaned Dick Grayson.

Already a trained acrobat as part of his family’s circus highwire act, Dick readily took to the supplemental training Batman provided him. Newly christened with the codename Robin, the Boy Wonder, Dick assisted Batman in tracking down the mobsters who had killed his parents.
