“Our September Major Auction is now complete with total sales of $447,421,” said eMoviePoster.com’s Bruce Hershenson. “This was our most successful major auction in many years, with lots of very strong results and many individual world record prices!”

Hershenson said the strong results were not limited to the top titles.

“There were items in every price range that proved to be in very strong demand, with lots of ‘bidding wars’ as the auctions ended,” he said.

Last week the company reported top results from Parts I and II (including the world record price of $19,000 of the Attack of the 50 Ft Woman one-sheet). Parts III and IV also yielded some compelling totals, including the pre-Academy Awards British quad for David Lean’s Lawrence Of Arabia ($16,607), the Belgian poster for Wizard Of Oz ($4,102), the rare, large French 4p for From Russia With Love ($3,700), the rare Australian daybill for Creature From The Black Lagoon ($3,700), the French 1p for Breakfast At Tiffany’s (not previously offered by eMoviePoster, $3,300), the orange style Australian one-sheet for George Miller’s Mad Max (less than 100 made, $3,201), and the insert for Top Hat ($2,750).
