The G.I. Joe team is about to embark on a new mission. Renegade Game Studios has announced G.I. Joe Mission Control, a cooperative miniatures boardgame in which players choose to be their favorite Joe and come together to defeat Cobra.

“Stop Cobra in locations around the world, and try to defeat Cobra Commander himself to save the day! G.I. Joe Mission Critical uses the Guardian System, providing a tense, challenging and cooperative gaming experience,” Renegade Games Studios’ description reads.

Made for 1-5 players, the game should take about 50 to 70 minutes to complete. Players will coordinate to defend locations, and determine when and how to attack Cobra. The game is designed to get more challenging as gameplay progresses. It is also expandable and customizable.

It comes with detailed miniatures of the G.I. Joe soldiers and Cobra forces, including Duke, Snake Eyes, the Baroness, and Cobra Commander.

The G.I. Joe Mission Control core set and the first expansion will be out in October 2022.

Preorders will open in April, which will come with a retro figure based on Snake Eyes’ 1980s design.
