400 scene lobby cards are featured at EMoviePoster this week. Lobby cards, once a primary tool of movie promotion, often hold a much different graphic than the more traditional poster. Many of the cards offered by EMoviePoster feature an exact scene from the movie as well as title art. The auction opens with groupings of cards that have multiple scenes from an individual movie. Bidding is now open for the auction. Among the early listings are a series of cards from North by Northwest (8 cards), Notorious (6 cards), Munster Go Home (8 cards), Night at the Opera (4 cards), Shane (8 cards), Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (4 cards), and Song of the South (6 cards).

The auction also features many individual cards from classic films It’s a Wonderful Life, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Big Store, Copacabana, Hard Day’s Night, Dick Tracy Meets Gruesome, At the Circus, Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein, War of the Worlds, and hundreds of other classics.  

The auction will begin to close on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at aproximately 7:00 PM CST. Once an auction begins to close, lots will stay open until ten minutes have passed since the last bid. This allows for a more real time auction environment as opposed to eBay where when it is over, it’s over.
