Quesada Joins Baltimore Comic-Con

Joe Quesada, Editor-in-Chief of Marvel Comics, is the latest guest to
sign-up to attend this year’s Baltimore Comic-Con on Saturday, September 9, at
the Baltimore Convention Center.

The show, which concludes on Sunday,
September 10, also announced additional guests including Mike Wieringo
(Fantastic Four, Flash), Jamal Igle (Firestorm), Louis
Small Jr. (Vampirella), David Lloyd (V For Vendetta), Ron Wilson
(Superboxers), Oliver Copiel (House of M), and Phil Noto (New
West
, Beautiful Killer). The convention’s opening is just nine weeks
away from tomorrow.

“We’re extremely pleased to add Joe Quesada to our
roster of guests,” said Marc Nathan, the show’s promoter. “Since his days on Ash
at Event Comics and the Marvel Knights imprint, he showed himself to be
consistently popular with fans in this area, just like every other region of the
country. During his tenure at as Editor-in-Chief at Marvel, the demand for him
as a guest has only increased. Whether it’s Ash, Daredevil or some new project,
people always want to see what he’s up to, and we’re very glad he’s coming to
Baltimore.”

Nathan said that he was also happy to announce the return
appearances of Wieringo, Igle, Small and Noto, while welcoming Lloyd, Wilson,
and Copiel to Baltimore for the first time.

“Being able to add new
creators of this caliber while matching them with returning talent of the same
level is a spectacular feeling,” he said.

The convention will run from 10
AM to 6 PM on Saturday and from 10 AM to 5 PM Friday at the Baltimore Convention
Center, a few minutes walk from the Inner Harbor and immediately across the
street from Geppi’s Entertainment Museum at Camden Yards. A Diamond Comic
Distributors – Alliance Game Distibutors retailer summit follows the show on
Monday and Tuesday.
