Pre-1960s Books in MyComicShop’s July Prime Auction
MyComicShop will open their July Prime Auction on July 5, 2025, and this week they are previewing some of the pre-1960s books that will be up for bid. They will offer Punch Comics #12 with the iconic Golden Age cover and Gus Ricca’s cover with many elements that would eventually be banned by the Comics Code just a decade later. Also in the same salacious vein, they have Fighting Yank #23 CGC 2.5, Space Detective #3 CGC 7.5, and Captain Science #7 CGC 6.5 amongst many more spicy Golden Age offerings.
In addition to the weekly and quarterly Prime Auctions on their website, MyComicShop recently started streaming auctions through eBay Live where they can talk to collectors while offering a wide range of comics. Collectors can participate with their eBay account either through their app or website and see upcoming auctions on MyComicShop’s profile. They will be hosting a quick pre-July 4 stream on July 3 and then they’ll be back on July 11 with a Superman-focused auction.
In addition to buying and accepting consignments through the mail, MyComicShop can travel to assess and pick up large collections as well as coordinate around conventions across the country. MyComicShop will be attending OAFCon in Norman, Oklahoma on September 26-28; Baltimore Comic-Con in Baltimore, Maryland on October 17-19; and Collector’s Summit in Dallas on November 8-9.
Collectors can contact MyComicShop’s Seller Services department at (817) 670-8115 or sellerservices@mycomicshop.com to arrange to drop off books or art at a show or to learn if MyComicShop is able to pick up items on their way back to Texas.
