Sorry for the short notice, but April 16-19 marks The Annual Spinach
Festival in Alma, AR. The self-proclaimed “Spinach Capital of the World” has
been having a fun community street fair for the last 19 years, and as any fan of
spinach surely knows, there is a certain one-eyed sailor who cannot stay away.

A quick visit to the festival website includes a few images of Popeye as
well as the chance to sign up for the Popeye vs. Brutus 3-on-3 basketball
tournament. This family fun event is sponsored by the Alma Chamber of Commerce.
