Since debuting in 2019, Billy Tucci (Shi, Sgt. Rock) and Nile Scala’s (CarBenn Media) Crowdfunding Comics YouTube channel has streamed over 125 live shows featuring industry insiders, pros, retailers, celebrities, and book reviews.

Over 100 new and experienced comic creators including Larry Hama, Marc Silvestri, Brian Pulido, Jimmy Palmiotti, Ethan Van Sciver, Mat Wagner, and Marv Wolfman, along with actor Thomas Lennon (Reno 911!) have been guests giving insights into their careers, creative process, and how to kickstart your own comic books. The show has grown substantially over the past year, garnering over 2,000 subscribers who tune in weekly to see their favorite creators.

“But, the era of focusing primarily on Indiegogo and Kickstarter campaigns has comes to an end and on May 7th [at 4 PM ET] we are proud to unveil the newly formatted and rebranded ‘PopXP!,” Tucci said.

The Pop Culture Experience channel will allow viewers to interact live and ask questions of the episode’s guests in a casual and entertaining atmosphere. Always committed to its roots, PopXP! will continue its weekly Crowdfunding Comics episodes educating and enlightening viewers on all things crowdfunding.

“We originally wanted a show that focused on those interested in creating and launching their own crowdfunded comics, and it’s proved a great success,” Scala said. “We’ve always been against gatekeeping and will remain all-inclusive to any creator, great or small seeking a place to promote their campaigns and other related projects.”

Tucci added that, “with all the unfortunate strife affecting the comics industry, there’s never been a more opportune time than now for creators to showcase their comics, toys, and games.”

Scheduled guests will cross the broad spectrum of comics, film, television, gaming, and collectibles.

PopXP! continues to strive for free of charge instructional entertainment that will take interactive YouTube shows to a whole new and positive experience,” Scala said. “And we cannot wait to share all the fun with our viewers.”

PopXP! offers free subscriptions to everyone. Details on the debut episode’s guests will be announced next week.

More information can be found by emailing crowdfundingcomics@gmail.com. Also, Tucci’s Shi: Return of the Warrior is currently live on Indiegogo.
