Results from the Tuesday closing session of Hake’s Americana Auction #187,
saw a tremendous turnout from collectors everywhere. The results are impressive
in every category. From political items to advertising, bidders came out strong
for this event.

“I was especially pleased to see how customers related
to our political listings,” said Alex Winter, General Manager of Hake’s
Americana. “When the company started forty years ago, political pinbacks were
the first items that Ted Hake listed. While we had items in this auction go for
more money, my favorite lot the Roosevelt’s Rough Rider Reunion Button from
1900. It was in great shape. The colors were as bright as the day it was
made.”
