Planet Hollywood Online Auction at Propstore
Propstore is currently hosting the Planet Hollywood Online Auction with over 400 props and costumes that were previously housed in the movie-themed restaurant’s collection. It features material from across multiple film genres with notable pieces from many iconic films.
Planet Hollywood was opened in 1991 by restaurateur Robert Earl and producer Keith Barish with backing by big name celebrities like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Demi Moore, and Sylvester Stallone. The restaurant became known for its cinema theme with actual film props and costumes decorating the space. Its flagship restaurant was located in New York City, then expanded to other cities and connected to casinos, resorts, and other entertainment destinations.
Some of the top lots in Propstore’s auction are the Grays Sports Almanac cover from Back to the Future Part II and a full-size, battle-damaged Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) statue display from Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
Roy Munson’s (Woody Harrelson) fedora from Kingpin, Ellis Boyd “Red” Redding’s (Morgan Freeman) prison shirt from The Shawshank Redemption, and Judge Doom’s (Christopher Lloyd) sword cane from Who Framed Roger Rabbit? are offered.
More featured lots are a Conehead mask from Coneheads, a screen-matched 12’ Jupiter II filming model from Lost in Space (1998), and Raphael paint test bust from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III.
The auction opens for bidding on May 21 and will close on June 11, 2025.
