Del, Holland, and Jacob were ghost hunters who went inside the wrong house. Jacob was killed by evil spirits, Holland has suffered a psychotic break, and Del has become the instrument of dead spirits who want him to kill those that wronged them in life.

The weight of Del’s actions and the all-consuming presence of the spirits are chipping away at his sanity. The final issue picks up a year after the events at the McCabe house with Del succumbing to madness and learning something frightening about his situation and the future.

Plague House #4 by Michael W. Conrad and artist Dave Chisholm is quite different from previous issues. It’s far more abstract with Del’s inner monologue about evil entities and lifeless things gaining sentience. This makes the book feel disconnected from the rest of the series, but that can work in its favor, since Del is the last one who hasn’t been completely destroyed by the Plague House.
