Celebrating eighteen years as a toy and pop culture convention, the Steel City Con is ready for another great year. This December 1-2, 2007, the Monroeville Expomart will be hosting the Con. General admission is only $7 and a free Futurama tin collectible will be given to the first 1,000 customers during the early buyer event Saturday morning.

Some great celebrity guests will be attending the Steel City Con. In a rare appearance, Richard LeParmentier, Admiral Motti from Star Wars will be flying from London for the show. Corin Nemec from Stargate SG-1, Mark Goddard from Lost in Space, Bob May from Lost in Space, Cathy St. George from Brewsters Millions and Star 80, Billy Tan, comic artist of X-Men and Tomb Raider, Mark Sparacio, comic artist of the Green Lantern, and Jay Fife, fantasy and pin-up artist will be there. They will be available for autographs both days of the show from 10 am until 4 pm.

The Radisson Hotel has blocked a few rooms for the Steel City Con with a special rate of $89 per night. The hotel is connected to the Expomart, providing attendants with a quick, easy walk to the show. For reservations, call (412) 373-7300, and don’t forget to mention that you are coming for the Steel City Con.

A few dealer tables are still open. Go to the website and click on the Dealer Registration icon and follow the steps. Send payment and the completed registration form. Paypal is acceptable as a method of payment.

The Steel City Con would like to offer a special thanks to attendee Garrison Carida from Star Wars, and their sponsors: M & J Variety, Phantom of the Attic, Time and Space Toys, and Bagged and Boarded.
