Pedigree’s Grand Auctions Closes January 24

Pedigree Comics’ January Grand Auction is underway. The auction began on Monday night, January 14, 2013 and lasts until Thursday, January 24. It begins closing that evening at 9:00 PM EST with the first lot (80 Page Giant #2 9.4) and ending at 11:59 PM. with the final lot (Yogi Bear #10 9.6).

“There are some great, new, ultra high grade consignments and collections in the auction, many containing the highest-certified copies, according to the CGC census,” said Doug Schmell, the company’s President and CEO.

The Long Island Collection
“This is a phenomenal ultra high grade collection of mostly Silver Age Marvels and DCs out of Long Island, New York (Lynbrook) that is making its debut in the auction. The books were just graded a few weeks ago and are incredible! The majority of the books are 9.4 and higher with outstanding page quality,” he said.

There is no buyer’s premium on any of the lots in the auction and most of the books are listed with no reserve. All the books are CGC-graded and the minimum bid is only $100,” he said.
