Pedigree Elkhart Collection Auction Now Open

Pedigree Comics’ high grade CGC-Certified Elkhart Collection Auction is now open. The auction began on the night of Monday, July 13, 2020, and lasts for ten days until the night of Thursday, July 23 as a separate event on the Pedigree Comics website (www.PedigreeComics.com).

The first lot (Amazing Adventures #4 9.4 ends at 7:43 PM ET on July 23 and the last lot (X-Men #1239 9.8) ends at 11:30 PM ET. There is no buyer’s premium on any of the lots in the auction and every listing will have no reserve. Every book is CGC-graded and the minimum bid is only $20 for this special auction. The 566 books are now open for bidding in the auction listing by clicking on the auction banner.

The Elkhart Collection is mostly Silver Age Marvel and DC issues graded CGC 8.0 and higher with many at 9.0 or above. The collection consists of over 550 comics and spans the years 1961 through the mid-1970s and features almost every Marvel superhero title plus many from DC. The collector primarily bought superhero titles including Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers, Brave and the Bold, Captain America, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Fantastic Four, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Journey Into Mystery, Justice League of America, Showcase, Tales of Suspense, Tales to Astonish, Thor, and X-Men. There are also runs of other titles such as Amazing Adventures, Astonishing Tales, Conan the Barbarian, DC Special, Fear, Frankenstein, Kamandi, Marvel Super-Heroes, Mister Miracle, Sgt. Fury and more. Almost every book has off-white to white pages and not a single book has been pressed.

The 1960s Amazing Spider-Man run includes #20-57, graded 8.0 and higher. Highlights are Amazing Spider-Man #20 9.0, #21 9.0, #23 9.2, #24 8.5, #26 8.5, #27 9.2, #29 9.2, #31 9.0, #32 9.0, #33 8.5, #34 8.5, #41 8.0, #43 9.0, #44 9.2, #47 9.2, #50 8.5, #51 9.2, #53 9.0, and #54 9.0.

The Fantastic Four run has #6-45, graded 8.0 and higher. They include Fantastic Four #6 6.0, #16 8.0, #17 9.0, #18 8.0, #22 9.2, #23 9.0, #24 8.5, #26 8.0, #27 9.0, #28 9.0, #29 9.0, #30 9.4, #31 9.0, #32 9.0, #33 9.0, #34 8.5, #35 9.0, #37 8.5, #38 9.0, #39 8.5, #40 8.5, #44 8.5, and #45 9.0.
