Since the debut of The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #40 15 years ago, Preview Night at the San Diego Comic-Con has been the release day at the show and in comic shops across North America for the Guide. We’re sad not to continue that tradition – after 55 years, we’re sort of big on traditions – but we want to let you know about our updated release schedule and more. 

As most of you are very well aware, the bankruptcy of our former sister company, Diamond Comic Distributors, has caused many ripples in the comic book market. For many publishers, those ripples were more like tidal waves of confusion. We’re included in that group. 

The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #55 (hardcover and soft cover) and The Big, Big Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #55 are now scheduled for release on Wednesday, November 26. We expect to announce distribution partners as well as a new strategic alliance in the days ahead.

In addition, retailers will also be able to order directly from us at discounts similar to their previous distributor discounts. Look for further announcements on this next week. 

During the five and a half decades of its existence, the Guide has weathered many changes in the comic book community. While this one was abrupt and had a big impact, it will survive this as well.
