Known for: The first appearance of the Carol Danvers, who would later establish herself as a formidable superhero under the alias Ms. Marvel for many years before taking on the mantle of Captain Marvel.
Did You Know?: This issue continued a Mar-Vell story from the previous issue, in which the Kree hero must adapt his powers to better fight Yon-Rogg. The fight between these two would be continued in Captain Marvel #1.
For Carol, this marked her first human appearance, as a security chief working under General Bridges. She wouldn’t take the moniker of Ms. Marvel until 1977’s Ms. Marvel #1.
