Overstreet #55 Heads to Press, and More News
If you’ve been waiting for the release of The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #55, you already know 2025 was a very challenging year for our team at Gemstone Publishing. The bankruptcy of our distributor and former sister company, Diamond Comic Distributors, had and continues to have multiple impacts on our operation, though now – at last – we can finally see some daylight ahead.
The biggest negative effect, of course, was the delay in printing The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #55. We’re now ready to announce a firm on-sale date for it: the Guide will be in comic shops on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

“Just so you know, we’ve taken the period to review our prices, particularly on key issues,” said Mark Huesman, Editor-Print for Gemstone Publishing. “This past year has been like nothing any of us on the team have ever experienced, and we’re looking forward to getting fully back in the swing of things.”
Additionally, since the previous edition of The Overstreet Guide To Grading Comics has been sold out for months now (and some of you have noted that it commands prices well over $100 on eBay), we’ve also scheduled the new edition of The Overstreet Guide To Grading Comics to be in comic shops Wednesday, May 27. In coming weeks, we’ll reach out for feedback on this.

Over the last few months, it hasn’t just been these two books that have occupied our attention. Overstreet Access (OverstreetAccess.com) has seen some tremendous updates! Over the next few weeks, we have some major upgrades to the site, including a “prices changed” page similar to our weekly New Comics page.
“During this past year, the development of new features for Overstreet Access has continued. In addition to the more than 230,000 variants we’ve added and the weekly New Comics list, we have a string of new tools for our users rolling out in the coming days, weeks, and months,” said Amanda Sheriff, Gemstone’s Editor-Digital.
Additionally, many of you remember the regular market reports that appeared back in the day in Comic Book Marketplace, Overstreet’s FAN, and even Overstreet’s Comic Book Monthly. We’re going to start adding them to Overstreet Access as well. So, if you’d like to get your information out to our readers on a timely basis, promote your business, and contribute to the Guide at the same time, send your current market reports to feedback@gemstonepub.com.
