of Big Little Books. The publishing data and pricing will be detailed starting
with the 34th edition of the Guide.
“Big Little Books have been
the subject of a lot of confusion. We’re going to shed a lot of light on them,”
said Steve Geppi, President and Chief Executive Officer of Gemstone Publishing.
“These books are vital parts of comic character history, but there’s been some
misunderstanding surrounding their publishing history and their pricing. As a
collector myself, I’m really looking forward to seeing authoritative information
in print about these great pop culture items.”
“We’re really excited to
be including Big Little Books in the Guide,” said Robert M. Overstreet,
the Guide’s author and Gemstone’s price guide publisher. “This area of
pricing is significantly under-documented, and we’re looking forward to changing
that. Many of our advisors already know a lot about this particular niche, and
we’ll be actively seeking as much input as possible.”
The Official
Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #34 is scheduled to be solicited in
December 2003 and go on sale in April 2004. Watch for more news about the book –
