To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Young Frankenstein, director and co-writer Mel Brooks, will join Cloris Leachman, Teri Garr and executive producer Michael Gruskoff for an evening hosted by our friend Leonard Maltin on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 7:30 PM at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater, 8949 Wilshire Boulevard, Beverly Hills, CA 90211.

Written by Gene Wilder and Mel Brooks, based on the novel Frankenstein by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, the 1974 black and white comedy starred Gene Wilder, Peter Boyle, Marty Feldman, Madeline Kahn, Cloris Leachman, Teri Garr, Kenneth Mars, Gene Hackman.

With Gerald Hirschfeld’s black-and-white cinematography, Dale Hennesy’s production design (including Kenneth Strickfaden’s electrical equipment from the original Frankenstein) and John Morris’s music helped the film make fun of the horror genre in the way that only someone who truly loved it could.

Tickets are $5 for general admission and $3 for Academy members and students with a valid ID.
