Grab a martini – shaken, not stirred – and settle in to read the original James Bond comic strips. Titan Comics is publishing Ian Fleming’s James Bond Signature Comic Strip Collection compiling the earliest newspaper comic strips. The hardcover volume will be available in September 2026.

The book contains strips written by Henry Gammidge, Anthony Hern, and Peter O’Donnell that were illustrated by John McClusky. Clocking in at 296 pages, it features the first seven full length stories that were adapted from the novels by Ian Fleming.

“Spanning the formative years of the Bond comic strips from July 1958 to May 1961, this landmark collection brings together faithful comic adaptations of Fleming’s earliest and most influential novels, including Casino Royale, Live and Let Die, Moonraker, Diamonds Are Forever, From Russia with Love, Dr. No, and Goldfinger,” according to Titan’s press release. “These classic stories helped shape the enduring legend of the British super-spy and laid key foundations for the global phenomenon that would become the James Bond cinematic universe.”

McClusky’s artwork in the series reproduced the action, glamour, spy games, and intrigue in Fleming’s novels. This book not only reproduces the strips he illustrated, but also offers a gallery of original art from McClusky’s archive that was chosen by his family.

Ian Fleming’s James Bond Signature Comic Strip Collection will be in stores on September 8.
