October 3-5: Monster Mania in Hunt Valley, MD
Halloween is coming up, a time for the spooky and altogether ooky to come out and play. Monster Mania’s next convention kicks off the season this weekend, October 3-5, 2014 at the Hunt Valley Inn, located at 245 Shawan Road, Hunt Valley, MD.
The media guest list includes Freddy Krueger himself, Robert Englund, along with fellow Nightmare on Elm Street stars Amanda Wyss and Ronee Blakley. Monster Mania will host The Walking Dead stars Scott Wilson, Emily Kinney, Lawrence Gilliard, Jr., and Chad Coleman. Billy Dee Williams, a/k/a Lando Calrissian will be there along with Kane Hodder, the man behind the Jason Voorhees hockey mask in Friday the 13th 7-10, and a Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers reunion, including George P. Wilbur, Devin Gardner, Marianne Hagan, J.C. Brandy, and Mariah O’Brien.
Vendors will be selling t-shirts, horror comics, magazines, and books, movie posters, jewelry, action figures, and other collectibles. At this convention the Saturday midnight movie will be chosen by the audience. Other horror films will be shown throughout the weekend and are part of show attendance.
The Dealer Rooms are open Friday 5 PM to 10 PM (preshow starts at 4 PM), Saturday 10 AM to 7 PM (preshow opens at 9 AM), and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM. Autograph hours are Friday 5 PM to 10 PM, Saturday 10 AM to 6 PM, and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM. Films and events run Friday 5 PM to 2 AM, Saturday 10 AM to 2 AM, and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM.
