October 2-4: Wizard World Austin
Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead), Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead), and WWE superstar Undertaker will be amongst the many special guests at Wizard World Austin, commencing this weekend from October 2-4, 2014 at the Austin Convention Center.
Show highlights include appearances by Katie Cassidy (Arrow), Allison Mack (Smallville), Manu Bennett (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey), Summer Glau (Firefly), Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings, The Goonies), and many more. Artists and creators include Joel Adams (LILZ), Eisner Award Hall of Famer Neal Adams (Batman, Avengers), Mike Alcantara (Comic Collage Art), Ramon F. Bachs (Infinity, Spider-Man), Daniel Ballard (creator/director/actor, The Cat Webseries) and more.
Programming and panels will focus on topics ranging from comic book history to cosplay, plus advice from the pros on how to write and draw comics.
The show is located at the Austin Convention Center, 500 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, TX 78701 just a short drive off of I-35, making it easily accessible for locals, but there are plenty of discounts available at hotels in the area for those coming from out of town.
