October 18-19: ToyConNJ
On October 18 and 19, 2014 ToyConNJ will return with its second installment ToyConNJ 2. The event will be held again at the P.A.L. building at 33 Baldwin Road, Parsippany, NJ 07054 with over 18,000 square feet of toys and fun. The convention will be held on Saturday from 9 AM to 8 PM, including a live auction open to the public at 5 PM. Sunday hours will be from 8 AM to 3 PM with two Cosplay Costume Contests one for adults and one for kids.
Each day ToyConNJ will have special events, guest panels and plenty of photo ops. Door prizes will be given every half hour and there will be free give-a-ways from some of the vendors. Regular admission is only $5 and kids under 12 are always free, and first hour early admission is $10. VIP Full Access Passes covering both days for $20 are available on the web site www.toyconnj.com.
The guest lists includes Kevin Duhaney the Blue Power Ranger and Jason Parazo the White Power Ranger (their first appearance on the east coast), Steve Savino (Toy Hunters), Hot Wheels expert and author Mike Zarnock, wrestler Andrew “The Re-Enforcer” Anderson, cast members for The Brighton Asylum, The 501st Star Wars Group and the Mandolarian Mercks, The Outer Space Men, many comic artists, authors and over 160 tables of toys, comics, movie memorabilia and collectibles. On Saturday plans include the Jeep from Jurassic Park out front for photo ops. There’s plenty of free parking behind the P.A.L. at Sheffield Park and in front there will be a food truck all day and on Saturday Evening there will be a wood fired pizza wagon.
