October 1-2: Classic Comic Con
As if Californians needed another reason to smile, the Classic Comic Con is heading their way on October 1-2, 2016. Held in the McHenry Event Center on 945 McHenry Avenue in Modesto, CA, this exciting convention is ready to provide a family friendly environment centered around all things comic and sci-fi.
Some special celebrity guests attending this con include Sarah Rush, Herbert Jefferson, Jr., and Dirk Benedict (Battlestar Galactica), Manu Intiraymi (Star Trek: Renegades), Jack Stauffer (Battlestar Galactica: The Second Coming), Paul St. Peter (Last Exile), Alan Palmer (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), Rajia Baroudi (Starship: Rising), Rico Anderson (Star Trek: Renegades), Lisa Hansell (Star Trek Continues), Tracee Lee Cocco (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Ryan T. Husk (Star Trek Into Darkness), Andrew E.C. Gaska (Conspiracy of the Planet of the Apes), Philip Cable (Masked-Raider), Davidson L. Haworth (The Dragon of Prau), and Edward Luena (Crow of the Bear Claw). Famous cosplayers Arlena Fae, Sheik Chan, Steve Martinez, Margarita Marie Guzman, BelovedStar, Sailor Cherry, and Wynsom Rose will also be there.
Join the cast of Battlestar Galactica for a mini reunion, question and answer session, and VIP screening of the cult classic. Or take advantage of the rare opportunity to sit down with Dirk Benedict, as he talks Battlestar Galactica and the A-team. Classic Con is also featuring a tribute to Glen A. Larson, a screening of Star Trek Continues, an exciting workshop about cosplay and prop making, and several workshops about anime voice work. The con is running Saturday 9 AM to 6 PM and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM. One-day passes are $15 for both Saturday and Sunday, while weekend passes are $25. Currently, VIP passes are still available and range from $25 to $55.
