Among the must see events at New York Comic Con is Tales from the Toybox. As part of the ReedPOP NYCC Presents lineup, the audio-visual event will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016.

Tales from the Toybox will revisit some of the best toys throughout history and take a look at the best fresh offerings currently on the market. The retro toy craze will also be examined.

Hosts for the evening are Bill Zanowitz (The Crime Fighter Inquiry) and Chris Cummins (Den of Geek). They’ll talk about action figures, games, and other toys, covering classic Mego superheroes to current Megos, and Hugo, Man of a Thousand Faces to Monster High.

The line-up of special guests joining them are Ed Catto (Captain Action), Billy Brooks (Con Man), and Bob Joy (Alex Toys).

Prizes and giveaways will be provided by IDW Publishing, Figures Toy Company, Titan Books, Captain Action Enterprises, MVD Entertainment Group, Alex Toys, and Hal Leonard Publishing.

Tales from the Toybox on October 6 will begin at 9 PM. It’s $5 to get in, located at Rockbar, 185 Christopher Street, New York.
