Whether you’re talking about the recent return of ROM and Micronauts, the Marvel era Transformers, or Archie’s TMNT, licensed titles have been a part of the game for a long time. The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide and Geppi’s Entertainment Museum will host a lively discussion at the New York Comic Con on the subject of the best and worst of licensed comics across the years. On hand to stir the pot with moderator Melissa Bowersox, President of Geppi’s Entertainment Museum, will be former Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Jim Shooter, IDW editor-in-chief and Chief Creative Officer Chris Ryall (co-writer of the new ROM, among other projects), Captain Action Retro-preneur Ed Catto, and Stargate Atlantis and 24 co-writers Mark L. Haynes and J.C. Vaughn (usually known as Gemstone Publishing’s Vice-President of Publishing).

“Licensed! Overstreet Looks at Licensed Comics” will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 5:15 PM to 6:15 PM in Room 1B03.
