NYCC: ComicLink
ComicLink will be set up this weekend at the New York Comic Con from October 9-12, 2014 in booth #2622 at the Javits Center. The firm will be accepting consignments for upcoming auctions and making direct purchases of vintage comic books and original comic art.
ComicLink is currently accepting consignments and dishing out generous cash advances for its upcoming Fall Featured Auction which, similar in structure to the blockbuster Summer Featured Auction that recently closed, will showcase high quality vintage comic books and original art. The firm is also accepting higher quality October Focused Auction consignments. The auction starts on October 16, 2014 so this auction offers a quick turnaround.
“If you are interested in reaching some of the most aggressive comic book and original art bidders and buyers in the world, while at the same time having the opportunity to raise cash quickly, stop by and speak with us.” says ComicLink Consignment Director Douglas Gillock. “If you are attending the show, don’t sell the good stuff without stopping by the booth first, so we can assist you in maximizing your return!”
“The Fall Featured Auction will highlight valuable, vintage comic books and original comic art and offers sellers a chance to be part of one of the best auctions of the year for both original comic related artwork and vintage comic books,” says ComicLink President Josh Nathanson. “We encourage you to contact ComicLink as soon as possible to consign to this auction so that we may reserve auction slots for you and begin promoting your material. Generous cash advances are available, and placement in this auction offers a quick turn-around. In addition to our normal methods of promotion, select auction material will be showcased at the New York Comic Con, and we expect many prospective bidders to ogle over the material we bring to the show.”
The initial preview was recently launched with some early consignments, and will grow tremendously in the next few weeks. Examples of just a few of the comic books listed early in the preview include: All Star Comics #5 CGC 9.4 Mile High, Amazing Mystery Funnies v2#4 CGC 8.0 (rare, single highest), Amazing Spider-Man #14 CGC 9.6 (highest, first Green Goblin), multiple hot Silver Age keys such as Avengers #1 and X-Men #1, examples from the #1 ranked CGC Registry Set of Batman issues #201 through #300 including #210 CGC 9.8 (highest, 1 of 2), #219 CGC 9.8 (highest, 1 of 2), #227 CGC 9.8 (highest, classic cover), #238 CGC 9.4 (highest, 1 of 3), and #251 CGC 9.8 (highest, classic cover), Brave and the Bold #61 CGC 9.8 (single highest), Captain America Comics #31 CGC 9.0 (second highest, Schomburg bondage cover), Flash #123 CGC 9.4 (highest, first Golden Age Flash in Silver Age), Harvey Comics Library #1 CGC 8.0 (“Teen-Age Dope Slaves”), Strange Tales #101 CGC 9.0 (start of Human Torch series), Sub-Mariner Comics #17 and #18 both CGC 9.2 (Schomburg War covers), Tales of Suspense #59 CGC 9.6 (first solo Captain America story in Silver Age), Tales to Astonish #22 CGC 9.0 White Mountain, Tales to Astonish #93 CGC 9.6 (second highest, Hulk vs. Silver Surfer), Young Allies #1 CGC 9.0, a high grade example of the August 1928 Amazing Stories pulp featuring the very first Buck Rogers story, and many more.
