November 14-15: ToyConNJ
The next ToyConNJ is coming up soon on November 14-15, 2015. Over 30,000 square feet of space with more than 230 tables of merchandise, covering vintage to current toys, comics, movie memorabilia, action figures, plus more collectibles. Artists and celebrities will meet fans and fan films will be shown plus gaming tournaments. The con will be held at the Police Athletic League (PAL) Building, 33 Baldwin Road, Parsippany, NJ.
Celebrity guests are Jordan Hembrough and Steve Savino (Toy Hunter), Robert Bruce (Comic Book Men), and Andrew Anderson, Greg Valentine, The Nasty Boys, and Leva Bates (professional wrestlers).
Comic artists are Christopher Leone (We Kill Monsters), Michael Leone (artist, designer), Tom Sciacca (Secrets of Haunted House), Will Torres (The Apneist), Will Olmo (comic artist), Jonathan Syphax (Mas Media Studios), and Anthony Rodriguez (fine arts).
There will be free photo ops with the Star Wars 501st, Mandalorian Mercs, Ghostbusters NJ, K.I.T.T. Knight Rider car, and Fiddlesticks from League of Legends.
Arcade and pinball games, video console, and card game tournaments.
Vendors include Good Time Toys, Bite Me Company, Mac Sol Shop, Digital Realm, Mayhem Collectibles, Jeff’s Arcade, Toys & Toons, Cousin’s Collectibles, Remembering Times Gone By, Noyze Toys, Wize Guys Collectibles, Collectors Toy Den, Star Wares, Toy Mongers, Mike’s Hobbies, and plenty more.
The adult and kids cosplay costume contests will take place on Sunday, hosted by Cheryl of Mayhem Collectibles and will be judged by Toni X Temptress and several guests. Adults will win cash and kids will win deal room gift certificates. The first 20 people to enter each contest will receive a custom drawn plaque print.
The show runs 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday and 9 AM to 3 PM on Sunday. Admission is only $5 and kids under 12 get in for free. More information on the con and tickets can be purchased at toyconnj.com.
