Nomad: Girl Without a World #1
Marvel Comics; $3.99
As much as we think Ed Brubaker hung the moon with his long run on Captain America, we’ve been looking forward to writer Sean McKeever (Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane) once again really immersing himself in the Marvel universe after his stint at DC.
Nomad: Girl Without a World is the story of Rikki Barnes, who was the modern-day Bucky, teen sidekick to Captain America, in the “Heroes Reborn” alternate reality.
Now she’s in the regular Marvel universe and the Cap she knew is dead, she never existed, and she has little memory of much else. As she tries to find her place in this new world, you know things are bound to happen. It’s just going to be fun to see what McKeever and artists David Baldeon and Chris Sotomayor come up with.
