IDW Publishing will launch a new, ongoing Transformers title in November 2009, the company has announced. Following on the heels of a number of successful mini-series and specials (and, of course, two box office hits including this summer’s Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen ), The Transformers will be written by Mike Costa (G.I. Joe: Cobra) and feature art and covers by Don Figueroa.

The Transformers #1 is due in stores in November 2009.

The launch of the ongoing series is also the starting point for two new miniseries, Transformers: Bumblebee and Transformers: Last Stand of the Wreckers, which will debut in December 2009 and January 2010, respectively.
