Philbo Distribution and sister company Philbo Publishing is launching in 2025 as a place to provide indie creators and publishers a new option for distribution. Per their mission statement, “Philbo Distribution facilitates the relationship between small independent publishers and retail outlets across North America. Through our monthly digital catalog we showcase and solicit new and interesting stories through the printed medium to local shops and other retailers.”

Publishers that will soon join Philbo include Antarctic Press, Counter Point Comics, Zenescope, and FairSquare Graphics. The slate of publishers who are already working with Philbo Distribution are Committed Comics, Crusade Entertainment, Edge Comics, Get Your Medz, Grok! Comics, HomeBrewed Comics, A Kid and A Comic, Knuckle Supper Studios, Monstrous Books, Spero, and Story-Ark.

They will also offer action figures from SPERO Toy Enterprises, such as Animal Warriors of the Kingdome, which also has a tie-in comic.

“This is an opportunity for independent comic book creators to showcase their talent on a broader scale, without the financial barriers that often come with self-distribution,” Philbo Entertainment Promotions CEO Phillip Russertt said in a statement, “Our mission is to create an economically viable option for creators, ensuring they retain the bulk of the financial rewards for their hard work. As a fellow creator, I understand the dedication that goes into every project, and I want to see independent comic book authors reach their full potential.”

Philbo Distribution has already listed many comics on their website. A monthly catalog will be sent to retailers in July 2025 with an order cut-off of September 1, and books arriving in stores on October 15.
