Mark Wheatley (Breathtaker) is heading to Baltimore Comic-Con with a new, updated edition of Frankenstein Mobster: Made Man. Only 40 copies of this “Gangster Edition” of the book will be available at the convention on September 25-27, 2026. This is a rare chance to get the book before it gets a wider release.

“I love that the focus on comics is the signature of the Baltimore Comic-Con. So, I try to have something new, rare, and special available at each year’s show,” Wheatley said.

The Gangster Edition comes with a custom-made signing plate that is printed on 80-pound natural stock. It features Frankenstein Mobster and Detective Terri Todd in a fine-line portrait by Wheatley.

Frankenstein Mobster: Made Man is set in Monstros City, a seaport town that is home to monsters and misfits. The city of monsters and gangs combines elements of supernatural fiction, noir, horror, and gangster tales with a human element.

“My Frankenstein Mobster is a creature with four souls sewn together in one monstrous body. One of these souls was a cop, and the other three were nasty mobsters. Because of this, there is a constant internal battle for control and justice,” Wheatley said.

“At its heart, this is the story of a young woman, Terri Todd, fighting for a place in her father’s world,” Wheatley added.

Wheatley and his Frankenstein Mobster will be at the Insight Studios booth #216 all weekend of Baltimore Comic-Con.

The standard edition of Frankenstein Mobster: Made Man will be open for orders after the book debuts at the convention.
