Some of the great half-sheets include Bullitt (Steve McQueen), The Man With The Golden Arm (style A and style B, Frank Sinatra, with Saul Bass art), With A Song In My Heart (Susan Hayward), Dirty Harry (Clint Eastwood), Uninvited (style B, Ray Milland, Ruth Hussey, and Gail Russell), Lawrence Of Arabia (style C, David Lean’s epic with Peter O’Toole), Magnum Force (Clint Eastwood), Grand Hotel (1962 reissue, Greta Garbo, John and Lionel Barrymore, Joan Crawford, and Wallace Beery), Rocky (Sylvester Stallone and Talia Shire), Martin Scorsese’s Mean Streets (Robert De Niro), Sam Peckinpah’s The Wild Bunch (William Holden and Ernest Borgnine), John Wayne and Dean Martin in The Sons Of Katie Elder, and the 1962 reissue of Julius Caesar (Marlon Brando, James Mason and Greer Garson).

Also among the half-sheets are top films like Cecil B. Part I of eMoviePoster’s Winter Mini-Major Auction took in more than $91,000 and was well above the company’s expectations, they said (Part II closed Thursday night as this issue of Scoop was being prepared and we’ll have a follow-up on it next week). Among the noteworthy sales in Part I were such posters as the Bar 20 Justice linen-backed one-sheet, one of the best B-western posters ever ($4,401),.the Wild Heart linen-backed English one-sheet ($1,800), and the linen-backed Polish 27” x 38” one-sheet for My Own Private Idaho linen ($781).
