Negan Teased in Walking Dead Midseason Finale
Sunday night The Walking Dead aired their midseason finale, which ended with cliffhangers and almost every character in peril. The walkers have infiltrated Alexandria and everyone is in terrible danger. After the show concluded, a two-minute prologue for the midseason premiere aired during the first commercial break of AMC’s new show Into the Badlands.
Outside the walls, and quite a distance away, Daryl, Sasha, and Abraham are finally on their way back to Alexandria after the disastrous trip they took to lead the walkers away from their home. They’ve commandeered a large truck, which seems indestructible on its quest home when they are stopped by a group of bikers. But, these guys aren’t part of Joe’s “Claimed” gang from season four.
As Daryl, Abraham, and Sasha get out of the truck the leader of this new group explains that they are taking the guns and everything else because it doesn’t belong to them. It belongs to Negan.
A few weeks ago, Scoop announced that Negan had been cast for upcoming episodes of The Walking Dead. He may appear in the season six finale and will star in season seven as the new big bad. Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Watchmen, Supernatural) will play the villain with the barbed wire wrapped baseball bat.
When the midseason finale ended Rick, Michonne, Carl, Father Gabriel, Jessie and her kids head out into the streets covered in walker guts, Maggie is left alone on a platform, Glenn and Enid are trying to find a way into Alexandria, Carol and Morgan are unconscious following a fight, and Tara, Rosita, and Eugene watch the grungy wolf take Denise hostage outside. Between what’s happening inside Alexandria and what’s happening on the road, the second half of the season is sure to be epic.
