MyComicShop has posted a batch of original art for sale on their website, and more is on the way. They have several pages by Steve Ditko from the final issue of Beware the Creeper. Page 3 is a title page with a great central scene of Proteus leaving the Creeper to drown in the sewers while the lower half of the page recaps recent events. Pages 9 and 11 are from the sequence where Proteus is revealed to have been impersonating the governor. They show off Ditko’s style with slightly askew panel shapes and posed action shots.

They an Adventure Comics #449 cover by Jim Aparo that sees Aquaman and Mera at the mercy of the Marine Marauder. It’s pure Aparo with composition that includes the low angle on the Marauder and his trademark bold figure work.

Other highlights include a Spectacular Spider-Man #91 page by Al Milgrom and Jim Mooney featuring nine panels that sees Symbiote Suit Spidey and Black Cat taking on the Blob. There’s a trippy cosmic Superman page by Jim Starlin, and a Jack Kirby Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen #133 page from his first post-Golden Age DC work.

All the pages pictured here and much more can be seen in the comic art section of the website.

In addition to their regular weekly auctions, MyComicShop has also begun hosting streaming auctions every Friday evening at 6 PM CT on eBay Live. They are featuring each week’s hot new releases alongside a mix of books from the Golden Age to today.
