Mycomicshop.com (MCS) is building their original comic art offerings via consignments and buying great pieces from collectors. To showcase the art, MCS is previewing the pieces in their gallery room on Comicartfans.com.

“This is so exciting,” MCS Senior Buyer and Consignment Director Steve Borock said. “I have been getting so many emails, phone calls, and direct messages asking when we will launch, if we would hold a piece (which we will not) as well as collectors and dealers asking for prices on pieces in our CAF gallery room. Most notably, we have had so many people ask to see the Jungle Action cover featuring the Black Panther fighting the KKK, by Gil Kane and Dan Adkins, that we brought with us to show off at the HA summit and I have been getting calls from some major players asking about that cover as well!”

“We have not priced anything just yet, as we are still photographing, cataloging, and pricing, as well as still doing art deals and taking consignments in before we launch our new original art section on the site. We want to make sure that the programming is in place, looks fantastic and goes smoothly for both our customers as well as for MCS. We will not launch until the original art part of our site is up to MCS standards. We are hoping to launch our new updated original art section in late December/early January,” Borock said.

MCS’s commission rates include only 8% for pieces $300 and under and a $1,000 maximum commission cap on a single commission no matter the final price. There is no buyer’s premium, but there is a 3% charge for using a credit card or PayPal and also if it’s a consignment piece.
