Music Memorabilia Showcased in Propstore Auction

Propstore’s Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction on November 3-6, 2022, is filled with over 1,500 lots including 500 music items. The instruments, recording equipment, clothing, autographs, and more music memorabilia will be offered on November 4. Bids can be placed online, by phone, or live at BAFTA, 195 Piccadilly in London, England.

The auction features David Bowie’s Major Tom spacesuit worn for the “Ashes to Ashes” music video and Whitney Houston’s screen-matched hero “Queen of the Night” costume she wore in The Bodyguard.

There’s a collection of Oasis items, including Noel Gallagher’s custom silver sparkle Gibson Les Paul Florentine guitar and a set of three screen and photo matched guitars that Noel played in the “Wonderwall” music video. Propstore is also offering Liam Gallagher’s stage-worn parka jacket and Noel’s handwritten “Wonderwall” lyrics.

The Beatles memorabilia is led by used Abbey Road Altec 605A studio monitors and George Harrison’s Dallas “E” banjolele. They are also represented by John Lennon’s custom tailored Madame Tussauds Suit, Paul McCartney’s photo-authenticated Morecambe & Wise Show striped blazer, and The Beatles signed Life with the Beatles booklet.

Other music highlights include Dave Grohl’s handwritten set list and ticket stub for Nirvana’s Nevermind Tour, an Elvis Presley signed gun license application, Michael Jackson’s photo matched studded leather bracer, Slash’s leather jacket for Guns N’ Roses’ Paradise City, and Blur’s Magic Whip Tour ice cream van.

Propstore is also offering Richard Ashrcroft’s screen-matched Gibson J45 acoustic guitar used for the Verve’s “The Drugs Don’t Work” music video, Rihanna’s screen-matched top from the “Work” music video, Prince and Sheila E’s “Sign O’ the Times” signed clapperboard and crew list, The Sex Pistols Anarchy in the UK tour poster, and Mel B, aka Scary Spice’s signed boots worn on a Spice Girls tour.
