Ms. Marvel #1 Goes to a Historic Seventh Printing
While a lot of comics end up being popular enough to get second or third printings, very rarely do they hit a seventh run. Ms. Marvel #1 is one of these rare books, and Marvel announced that it’s getting a seventh printing that will hit comic stores on November 19. Even more impressive is that Ms. Marvel #1 has sold more digital copies than physical.
Kamala Khan took over the role of Ms. Marvel back in February 2014 when her debut issue hit. She discovered that she had Inhuman genes during the fallout of the “Inhumanity” storyline. This heritage allows her to shapeshift, she can grow huge or incredibly tiny, and as she was discovering her powers she was also seen taking on the appearance of her idol, Carol Danvers.
Kamala received an overwhelming amount of media attention upon the announcement that she would be headlining her own book, as she is the first Muslim character to star in a series by Marvel. Reviews of the series have been favorable, and Kamala has since teamed up with Wolverine, and with Peter Parker as part of the “Edge of Spider-Verse” storyline.
