Archaia Studios Press announced this week that both the first two issues of
David Peterson’s Mouse Guard will be going back to press for a third
printing of issue #1 and a second printing of #2. Thus far, the first issue has
sold 13,000 in its two printing and the second issue has sold through 10,000
copies.

Mouse Guard follows the adventures of a band of mice
trying to survive in a harsh medieval world while defending their fellow mice
from vicious predators. The Mouse Guard, investigating the disappearance a mouse
merchant, soon discovers that there are may be worse things in the world than
what hunts them.

“I can’t thank retailers and fans enough for
buying and enjoying my labor of love,” said Peterson in a recent press
release. “Mouse Guard took many years to come to fruition and it’s
a pleasure to see such a positive response to something I’ve worked so hard on.
I hope as the series continues and the traitorous plot is revealed that readers’
enjoyment will continue. I know I’m enjoying telling the guardsmice
story.”

The third printing of Mouse Guard #1 is set to hit stores
on July 12, while the second printing of issue #2 is in the current issue of
Diamond Comic Distributors’ Previews.
