Morbius Now Streaming on Netflix
Morbius is sinking his teeth into a spot on Netflix.
The Sony Pictures movie’s addition to the streaming service was made via the Netflix Geeked Twitter account using the tagline “It’s Morbin’ time,” a riff on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers phrase “It’s morphin’ time.” The post also features a trio of images from the movie including Jared Leto doing his best intimidating vampire glare and Matt Smith looking bored and contemptuous.
Morbius introduces Leto as Dr. Michael Morbius who becomes the living vampire. He transforms while researching to find a cure to the blood-related illness that he has been suffering from since childhood. Matt Smith, who is currently starring in House of the Dragon, plays Morbius’ childhood friend who is also plagued by the illness and looking for a cure.
Morbius was originally released on March 10, 2022, to mixed reviews from both viewers and critics. Weeks after its theatrical run, Sony rereleased the movie in 1,000 US theaters on June 3.
Directed by Daniel Espinosa, Morbius also stars Adira Arjona, Jared Harris, Tyrese Gibson, and Michael Keaton.
