It has recently been reported that two glorious pieces of jewelry were
stolen from an exhibition at London’s County Hall Gallery. But not any pieces of
jewelry – these treasures once belonged to screen siren Marilyn Monroe. The
exhibition, entitled Marilyn Monroe – Life of a Legend – had just opened
last week with hundreds of pieces of Monrorabilia on display – including the
pilfered gems – a gold bangle bracelet and a gold initial ring with a diamond
encrusted letter “M”. The total value of the jewels is in the
$63,000 range. Read more about the dastardly deed – and the two men who may have
been implicated – here.
