Share:
comic and cartoon artists from the New York area will be joining Museum of Comic
and Cartoon Art (MoCCA) Chairman Lawrence Klein in Kingston, NY in order to
discuss upcoming plans for the Museum. Several notable comic book, comic strip,
political, editorial and gag cartoonists, animation artists and the like will be
in attendance.
The event will kick off with a brief presentation from Mr.
Klein on the Museum’s mission and plans for upcoming events, exhibitions and
programs. Joe Staton and other artists will also present donations and pledges
of original comic and cartoon artworks to be added to MoCCA’s collection. These
works – as well as works by other notable comic and cartoon artists living and
working in the Mid-Hudson region — will be on display throughout the event.
There will also be talk regarding plans for a MoCCA Mid-Hudson Comic and Cartoon
Art Exhibition set to take place next Spring. It promises to be a very exciting
day that will help spread awareness for this important museum!
