Mignola & Stenbeck’s Lands Unknown Grows in Uri Tupka and the Devils
Hellboy creator Mike Mignola is growing the Lands Unknown Universe that he created with cartoonist Ben Stenbeck with the new folktale anthology, Uri Tupka and the Devils. Written and drawn by Mignola, the book features colors by Clem Robins, and will be released by Dark Horse Comics in November 2026.
This is Mignola’s third original graphic novel in a two-year span. His Bowling with Corpses and Other Strange Tales from Lands Unknown was published in 2025 and Uri Tupka and the Gods was released this year.
Uri Tupka and the Devils picks up after Uri Tupka and the Gods with the hero embarking on a new mission to learn the universe’s secret history.

“After his search for the ancient gods ended with some answers and even more questions, heretic and theologian Uri Tupka travels further to discover the truth about the darkness before the world began and what it means for mankind,” Dark Horse’s synopsis reads. “He visits a Baron’s library full of esoteric books beyond even Uri’s imagination. Each night in the library brings new insight and clarity, but threatens to consume Uri as his unquenchable desire for understanding sends him down a dangerous path.”
“Uri has found the gods, but he still has questions and so he’s gone to look for the answers – In a nightmare castle full of devils!” Mignola said. “See Uri change shape, tumble through his own inner workings and take a pretty savage beating. I put the poor guy through the wringer in this one and I feel a little bad about that, but you gotta do what you gotta do, and these ‘Lands Unknown’ are not all sunshine and flowers.”
Uri Tupka and the Devils 104-page hardcover graphic novel will be in comic shops on November 17.
