Mignola & Golden Reunite for New Lady Baltimore Comic
Lady Baltimore is back to face ghosts, monsters, and the plague in Lady Baltimore: The Constant Death of Dr. Rose. The book is written by Baltimore co-creators Mike Mignola (creator of Hellboy) and Christopher Golden (horror novelist, Road of Bones).
Bridgit Connell reunites with the duo to provide the art, Michele Madsen is coloring the book, and Abigail Larson illustrated the cover. The next arc in Lady Baltimore’s story arrives in December 2026 from Dark Horse Comics.
Sofia Valk, Lord Baltimore’s widow, has chosen to continue fighting supernatural threats like occultists and monsters. The new series picks up after 2025’s Lady Baltimore: The Daughters of Medusa, following Lady Baltimore to a remote town that appears to have been destroyed by a monster. Upon her arrival, Lord Baltimore’s ghost warns Lady Baltimore that something even more frightening and evil has been unleashed. Dr. Rose, an old ally of Lady and Lord Baltimore, has been possessed by the plague.

“From the first issue of Baltimore until we don’t tell these stories anymore, this is all one world – one story,” Golden said. “To us, Dr. Rose was a courageous ally and stalwart friend to Lord Baltimore, who met a horrifying end. But to the Nazis and the evil witches they’ve teamed up with, Dr. Rose’s terrifying transformation makes for a devastating weapon. Sofia – Lady Baltimore – can’t let her old friend be used that way, no matter what it costs her to put a stop to it.”
“In Baltimore, the character arc of Dr. Rose was a fascinating one… from wartime doctor meeting friends in a tavern to book obsessed monster in hiding,” Connell said. “Being able to illustrate further exploration into his storyline, with Sofia and her kick-butt crew as our guides, was a real treat. It gets pretty ooey, gooey, fun, and freaky!”
Lady Baltimore: The Constant Death of Dr. Rose is scheduled to arrive in comic shops on December 16.
